PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Supporting the Nursery Manager with the school’s administration/HR and finance functions.
To act as first point of contact for school, provide an information service to school visitors and staff as needed.
Respond to incoming telephone calls, answer queries where possible and as required to take messages, prioritise and pass to staff as appropriate in a timely fashion.
Receive, direct and respond to school emails.
Develop and maintain the school’s administrative filing systems ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
Generate and circulate general information correspondence, newsletters, etc. for parents.
Provide administrative support for the manager and school teaching staff.
Work with the school manager and teaching staff to ensure Ofsted compliance and preparedness for inspection.
Manage the administration of the provision of funded hours for free nursery education for three- and four-year-olds.
Keep school policies and risk assessments updated annually.
Co-ordinate the admission and welcome of new children and families throughout the year.
Co-ordinate aspects of educational visits.
Undertake general word-processing for school staff where necessary.
Undertake reprographic work as needed.
Support the generation and maintenance of pupil records, produce class lists and leaver information.
Maintain and update pupil records, database and manual systems.
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
