We offer children a range of music and movement experiences.
At circle time we teach the children action songs and rhymes to encourage language development through movement and rhythm. We have a box of musical instruments to accompany the songs we learn and sing in different languages. We have regular sessions with music and dance teachers. Sometimes talented professional musicians will visit to introduce their instrument to inspire the children.
In summer as the children grow, we introduce further learning experiences of music making on different instruments such as the cello, glockenspiel, autoharp or keyboard. We We practice songs and dances for our plays and concerts. We discover rhythm, pitch and tone in our afternoon music sessions.
We make no extra charge for music tuition.
Occasionally we invite all our former pupils to take part in a concert to showcase and celebrate their musical talents - and inspire the next generation!
